Copyright and takedown
Last updated: October 30, 2026
What people upload here
Students can upload photos of their own work, such as a sketch, a screen or a notebook, to get written feedback. Before each upload they confirm that it is their own work and that they have the right to upload it. Uploaded photos are private to the student's account and are not published. We respect copyright, and we remove material when we learn that it infringes.
How to report infringement
If you believe something uploaded to Wayfynd infringes your copyright, email support@wayfynd.dev with the subject "Copyright notice", or use the support form and choose "Copyright or takedown request". Please include:
- •Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- •A description of the copyrighted work you say is being infringed.
- •Where the material is on Wayfynd, in enough detail for us to find it (for example, a screenshot or the account email it came from, if you know it).
- •A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- •A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for them.
- •Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
- •We confirm we've received your notice, usually within 2 business days.
- •If the notice is complete, we remove or disable the material promptly and tell the account holder why.
- •If the notice is missing something we need, we tell you what's missing.
- •We keep a record of every notice and what we did about it.
If your upload was removed (counter-notice)
If you believe your upload was removed by mistake, or you have the right to use it, email support@wayfynd.dev with the subject "Counter-notice". Include your name, address and phone number, what was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address, and your signature. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should send it with you. We pass a complete counter-notice to the person who reported the material. If they don't tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have gone to court, we may restore it.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly upload material that infringes someone else's copyright.
