Terms of Service

Wayfynd is a career-exploration and learning tool for high school students preparing for their future. It suggests careers to explore, learning roadmaps, timelines, and written feedback on your work, based on the information you provide, a set of rules and estimates we've built, and AI models. Wayfynd is operated as a sole proprietorship under the Wayfynd brand ("Wayfynd", "we", "us"). Contact: support@wayfynd.dev.

• •You must be at least 13 years old. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.
• •If you're under 18, a parent or guardian has to agree to you using Wayfynd, and you confirm that they do when you sign up.
• •If you're under 18, a parent or guardian has to complete any purchase for you. You enter their email address and we send them a link to review the plan and pay. Nothing is charged to you, and the subscription is managed by them.
• •You must give accurate information when you sign up, including your date of birth.
• •You are responsible for what you tell us. We rely on your date of birth, the email addresses you enter, and the confirmations you tick (for example, that a parent or guardian agrees).

Wayfynd can be used from any country. Its career facts are United States figures, so they may not apply where you live. You're responsible for using Wayfynd in a way that's allowed where you are.

We send the emails the service needs: sign-up codes, password resets, and links you ask for. Daily reminder emails are optional and off until you switch them on under Profile. When you do, you confirm that the address is yours, that you are at least 13, and that you are old enough under the law where you live to agree to this, or that a parent or guardian agrees. We record when you switched them on. Every reminder has a link to turn them off, and you can turn them off any time. If you switch reminders on without having that permission, that is your responsibility, and we may turn reminders off for your account. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can't be excluded by law.

Nothing in Wayfynd is a promise. Careers to explore, timelines, and pay figures are estimates or general information (pay figures are United States figures from the source named on each career) and depend on the answers you give — not a guarantee of any income, job offer, admission to any program, or outcome. Careers to explore are ideas, not decisions or advice about what you should do; talk them over with a parent, teacher, or counselor. Feedback on your work is generated automatically, not by a certified professional, and is not a certification, grade, or assessment of your abilities.

The AI Coach, the help inside lessons, and the written feedback on Skill Challenge answers and check-in photos are produced by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude), not a human, and nothing is reviewed by a person before it reaches you. The AI gives guidance and feedback on your work. It does not score, rate, grade, or rank you, it doesn't make decisions about you, and nothing it writes is used to make a decision about you. When you ask for feedback, your answer or photo is sent to the AI provider to write it. A photo that mainly shows a person rather than your work isn't kept. AI can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important before you rely on it.

Wayfynd does not provide financial, legal, educational, or career-counseling advice from a licensed professional. For decisions with real financial or legal weight — student loans, enrolling in a degree program, quitting a job — talk to a qualified advisor. Use Wayfynd as a starting point, not a final answer.

Career DNA, careers to explore, browsing and comparing career paths, the What-If simulator, and a limited number of AI Coach questions are free. Wayfynd Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks the full roadmap, Skill Challenges, saving careers and futures for later, a daily allowance of AI Coach questions, and photo check-ins. The AI Coach is for questions about your career path and learning plan. We limit how many questions you can ask per day and may decline requests that aren't about those topics.

Your progress and feedback are private. They're never shared with or used by schools, colleges, or employers.

• •A parent or guardian who completes checkout confirms that they are the student's parent or legal guardian and agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on the student's behalf.
• •The link we email them works for 7 days and for one student and one plan. Opening it charges nothing; payment happens only when they finish checkout with our payment provider.
• •The parent or guardian is the purchaser. They can update the card, see invoices, or cancel at any time, without a Wayfynd account, using a link we email to the address they used.
• •If a student deletes their account, we cancel any subscription that was set up for them.

• •You can try Pro free for 7 days from the Upgrade page without entering any payment details.
• •This trial is available once per account.
• •It does not turn into a paid subscription on its own — when it ends, your account goes back to the free features unless you choose a plan.

• •Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Limited), which is the merchant of record for all our orders: Paddle sells Wayfynd Pro to you, takes the payment, and handles tax, billing questions and refunds. Paddle's buyer terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) also apply to your purchase.
• •Your card is charged when you subscribe. Your subscription then renews automatically for the same period (monthly, 6 months, or yearly) at the price in effect at renewal, until you cancel.
• •Prices include any applicable sales tax or VAT: the price shown is the price you pay, and our payment provider accounts for the tax from it based on where you live.
• •If we change the price of a plan, we'll tell you before the new price applies to your next renewal.

You can cancel anytime from the Upgrade page using "Cancel subscription" or "Manage billing," or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Cancelling doesn't refund the rest of a period you've already paid for.

Refunds are handled by Paddle under its buyer terms and are decided case by case. If a payment is refunded in full, or disputed with your bank, the subscription ends straight away and Pro stops; nothing more is charged. This doesn't take away any refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer laws where you live, such as the right of withdrawal in the EU, EEA, and UK. If you think you've been charged in error, email us and we'll help sort it out.

• •You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
• •One account per person. Don't create accounts to impersonate someone else.
• •You can stop using Wayfynd at any time and delete your account yourself from Profile → Delete account. Deleting it cancels any active subscription and ends your access immediately; the unused part of a paid period isn't refunded.

Don't use Wayfynd to:

• •Submit harmful, illegal, or abusive content through the challenge, coach, or check-in features.
• •Attempt to access another user's account or data, or get around limits, trials, or payment requirements.
• •Interfere with or overload the service (for example, automated scraping or bulk account creation).
• •Reverse-engineer or resell the service.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate this.

You keep ownership of what you create — challenge submissions, coach messages, check-in photos, and anything else you add to the app. By submitting it, you allow us to store it and process it to provide the feature you used it for (like generating feedback), including through the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We don't publish your submissions or share them with other users.

Only upload work that is your own and that you have the right to share. We remove material that infringes someone else's copyright and close the accounts of repeat infringers. See Copyright and takedown for how to report infringement.

Wayfynd is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product develops. Wayfynd also relies on other companies (for hosting, payments, email, and the AI model), and we aren't responsible for their outages or errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Wayfynd and its operator are not liable for decisions you make based on information from the app, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can't be excluded by law.

We may update these Terms as the product changes. If a change is significant, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Wayfynd after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cambodia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
